Programmer Analyst

Position Description

CGI is currently looking for a Programmer Analyst to join our team in our Center of Excellence in Belton, TX. Join a dynamic group of motivated professionals who have a passion for and expertise in software development and adapting to new technologies.
This programmer analyst is responsible for application software development (Java, HTML5, JavaScript, XML, etc.) and data integration software development (i. e. WebServices). This individual will also assist in migration of software between various environments, and software version control. This individual will be responsible for developing and unit testing their software customizations. Additionally, the programmer analyst may contribute to building conversion scripts, interfaces, and report design and development. This individual will also assist with overall code analysis, debugging, and performance tuning.

Your future duties and responsibilities

- Project responsibilities will include:
-Perform multi-disciplinary technical tasks
-Perform configuration management services
-Perform software development and modifications of CGI software.
-Manage the migration of software between environments
-Manage software version control in all environments
-Manage and communicate software delivery schedules
-Troubleshoot issues with the implementation of the solution
-Design, develop, and unit test data conversions, interfaces, reports, and nightly cycle scripts
-Assist in the final implementation and go-live activities planning

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

- Proficient with Object-Oriented development (Java preferred)
- Familiarity with SQL and/or Oracle database
- Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, and XML solutions
-Familiarity with application server technology (i. e. IBM WebSphere or similar)
-Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments
-Shell scripting
-Configuration Management

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
