Millwork Operations Manager - TX
Our client, a leading wholesale distributor of high quality building products, is on the hunt for a talented and driven Millwork Operations Manager for their location in Texas. Qualified candidates will be accountable for managing the overall location, keep an eye on profit and loss, maintain solid inventory control procedures, monitor the sales team, negotiate with vendors and supply direction for both management and hourly staff. The Operations Manager is directly responsible for daily safe operations and management of the manufacturing line, warehouse, outside yard, truck fleet, sales professional and administrative personnel.
-Define work procedures, schedules, workflow for warehouse/yard personnel
-Uphold and enforce policies and procedures
-Oversee and schedule fleet/vehicle maintenance
-Work with other managers as a team to ensure coordination of activities
-Supervise train, coach and mentor personnel
-Review personnel on performance, identification of skills, and reinforcement for means of employee advancement
-Ensure safety procedures are followed, and that work area is well maintained to safeguard employees and visitors
-Uphold all OSHA & Health and Safety standards set forth by company
Required Qualifications
-8 - 10
years building materials industry experience
-8 - 10
years' experience including supervising and/or management teams of 15 plus
-Knowledge of casework construction methods
-Experience in taking care of logistics and providing superior quality service to retail dealer customers is a must
-Knowledge of AWI and FSC certifications
-Proficient n AutoCAD
-Experience running a manufacturing line, wholesale yard and warehouse are a must
-Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook
-Have the vision/ability to see and implement changes which improve processes and positively impact the bottom line
-Excellent communication skills
-BS/BA degree
