Housekeeping/Laundry Job Description Functions:
Responsible for performing all housekeeping duties Hours:
Sunday - Thursday, 8:
30 a.
m.
- 5:

(1/2 hour lunch) Reports to:
Housekeeping Lead Salary:
Hourly, $11-$13 per hour depending on experience Job
Responsibilities:
Stripping linen from beds Gather and empty trash Primarily responsible for laundry throughout the retreat as needed Advise supervisor of supplies as needed Clean A/C vents and keep rooms clear of dust and debris Clean windows, door glass, mirrors, and window seals Report any issues concerning the need for repairs or new furnishings to supervisor Ensure outside of rooms are presentable, clean light fixtures, shake mats, clean outdoor furniture Assess the rooms at Summers Mill Retreat for cleanliness and pleasing appearance Assist guest with housekeeping needs, replenishing towels and toiletries Know the correct procedure for entering a guest's room Deep cleaning of accommodations as needed Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Physical and Sensory Requirements:
Ability to read, write and converse in English Ability to communicate with employees, guests, vendors, support, and others Ability to remain calm and composed under stress Bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand/eye coordination, pushing/pulling, prolonged standing Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
Desired Education, Experience, and Traits:
High School degree or GED preferred Previous experience and knowledge in hotel housekeeping is preferred but will train Strong teamwork and effective communication skills Exhibits regular and punctual attendance Must have reliable transportation Job Type:
